What is a Guardian Home?
A guardian home is a special program that allows us to grow our breeding program without placing all
of our dogs in one home or a kennel environment. Instead, our breeding dogs live as beloved family
pets in carefully selected homes where they receive the individual attention, love, and daily life they
deserve.
We truly believe this is the best of both worlds, our dogs get to thrive in a home environment, and our
families get the unique opportunity to be part of our program.
How the Program Works:

When we either purchase a new puppy for our program or decide to retain a puppy from one of our
litters, we place that puppy in a guardian home. The puppy is placed with the guardian family completely free of charge. While the dog lives full-time with the guardian family as their pet, we retain breeding rights for the duration of the program.
Financial Responsibilities:
Guardian Home Responsibilities:

• Routine veterinary care
• Vaccinations
• Grooming
• Food
• Preventatives (flea, tick, heartworm)
• General day-to-day care

Breeder Responsibilities
• Health testing
• Reproductive care
• Breeding-related veterinary expenses

To be considered for our guardian program, families must:
• Live in or near Greenville, South Carolina
• Be committed to maintaining open and consistent communication
• Keep the dog well-groomed, healthy, and well-mannered• Treat the dog as a cherished member of their family
*Communication is extremely important in this program. We work very closely with our guardian families
and truly value those relationships.

I have been incredibly fortunate to have wonderful guardian homes so far, and each one has become a
dear friend. These relationships mean so much to me and have been a huge part of growing my
program the right way.
Because of that, I am very selective when choosing new guardian homes—this is not just a placement,
it’s a long-term partnership.

One of the most important things to know is that the dog is always your pet first.
After they have completed their breeding responsibilities, they remain with the guardian family
permanently:
• Males: Typically part of the program until around 5–6 years old, then neutered and remain your pet
• Females: Have up to 3 litters, then are spayed and remain your pet

Our goal is to ensure every dog in our program lives a full, happy life in a loving home. The guardian
program allows us to do that while continuing to responsibly grow and improve our breeding program.
If you have any questions or feel like this might be a good fit for your family, I would love to talk more
